The “Backtrack” Pen-Test OS has been released.

The new incarnation of the Whoppix/Whax Linux live-cd for penetration testing has been released as “Backtrack Linux“. Backtrack is a joint effort from by the developers of Whoppix/Whax and Auditor Linux to create a live-cd that combines the best aspects of the others.
It’s based on Slax Linux and does not need a harddrive install to be used.

It may be used via USB token, hard drive install, in RAM as a live cd or in a virtual machine with VM Ware. Whoppix and Whax were excellent tools and I can’t wait to test this out.
Go download the latest ISO and give it a go.
